The path dependence and breakthrough strategy of digital transformation in traditional retail industry

Abstract:The digital transformation of traditional retail industry faces multiple path dependencies, which are intertwined and form systematic obstacles, hindering the smooth transformation of traditional retail industry towards digitalization and intelligence. This article is based on a systematic study of the digital transformation of the retail industry, and finds that the key to breaking through path dependence lies in building a "data-driven omni channel integration" model, restructuring organizational structure to enhance agility, promoting supply chain digital collaboration, and reshaping consumer experience through scenario based innovation.
