| Abstract:As a vital pillar of the national economy, the iron and steel industry plays a crucial role in driving economic development.However, its characteristics of high energy consumption and high emissions pose significant challenges to global climate change. This paper conducts an in-depth analysis of the current situation of the iron and steel industry, reveals the urgency of transitioning to low-carbon development, and elaborates on the technical routes to achieve this transformation, aiming to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for the sustainable development of the iron and steel industry. Through the analysis of a large amount of data and the synthesis of relevant studies, it clearly points out the severe situation of the iron and steel industry in terms of energy consumption and carbon emissions, emphasizing that low-carbon transformation is not only a necessary measure to address environmental challenges but also an inherent demand for the industry's own development. In terms of technical routes, a comprehensive discussion is carried out on the improvement of existing technologies, the research and development of new technologies, and the adjustment of energy structure, etc., pointing out the direction for the iron and steel industry to move towards a green and low-carbon future. |
